This is such a beautiful piece. Your recognition of the best of humanity is sometimes some of the most refreshing and uplifting writing I see on Substack. (It feels like somehow, when I've had to be mostly away from Substack for awhile and then I return, you always seem to have just posted the right piece, as if I was meant to read a particular one. I'm just glad I read this one tonight as my night is nearing its end.
